Last week Xiaomi backed Huami had launched Amazfit Verge The Youth Edition, and now the company has introduced the much-awaited smartwatch the Amazfit Verge 2. This second generation smartwatch came with some amazing features which you need to look into this.
Design And Build Quality:
Unlike plastic case which you have seen in the first generation of Verge lineup, Verge 2 has come with a Micro-crystalline zirconium ceramic body which is complemented by a leather strap, giving the new product extreme durability and a more stylish appearance. The reason of its extreme durability property is, its complex making process, which took 35 days and 24 stages of process to make this body extremely durable.
The display is based on around 1.39 inches 2.5d curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels. Which is much better than the predecessor which had the resolution of 360 x 360 pixels. The dashboard is quite simple but looks classic and the good thing is it has customizable watch faces.
The device is powered by a Snapdragon Wear 2500 SoC with a clock speed at 1.1GHz and it has clubbed with a 512MB of RAM and a 4GB onboard storage. The Verge 2 has a 420mAh battery and lasts only 28 hours, which is not so good as compare to its predecessor with 5 days of battery life.
The Verge 2 is the first ever smartwatch of the company which comes with an eSIM functionality. Thanks to which the user can make calls in 4G VoLTE networks.
The smartwatch is equipped with a large number of different sensors used to record both basic and advanced functions. For example, counting the steps, distance traveled, and similar functions we know from the time of the first fitness bracelets.
Amazfit Verge 2 can also track the heart rate, in real time, with a special ECG chip (electrocardiogram). It can also record measurements for up to 60 minutes through seven days so that ECG data can be compared later. Even it not only enables accurate heart rate monitoring 24 hours a day but also allows for real-time screening of PPG & ECG arrhythmia with atrial fibrillation.
The watch also has GPS, with various sports tracking modes, such as running, walking, elliptical, mountaineering, horse riding, soccer, jumps, etc. The watch has an IP68 rating just like its predecessor which means the smartwatch is water and dust resistant.
The device has Bluetooth v4.2, WiFi and a built-in NFC-chip that allows you to make contactless payments.

The base model of the Verge 2 costs 999 Yuan, which equals to ₹10,000. The model with ECG goes up a bit to 1,299 Yuan, about ₹13,000.
